Nuts About Nuts

new research paper released yesterday highlights the health benefits of nuts if eaten every day.

We can’t agree more with the findings. We are advocates of using nuts or well-made nut butter as part of a balanced meal or snack.

Nuts provide a good amount of protein and good fats. Pair them with a complex carbohydrate like fruits or vegetables, and you have yourself a well-balanced snack!

As we mentioned in last month’s free health class “Hair, Skin, and Nails – Oh My!”, nuts are rich in nutrients like omega-3, Vitamin E, Selenium, and much more.

It’s important to remember that too much of anything is bad, so incorporate a SERVING of nuts into your day, as the study proposes.

Mixed nuts were a PART of healthier eating, so you can’t have cheeseburgers for all your other meals and still, get the benefit – sorry (to myself, mostly!).

Finally, we offer nutritional and wellness consults, so we can chat about small dietary changes like this that can make a HUGE impact on your weight and health!

Just trying to keep it real…
